Bourbon Tour:
While we encourage everyone to visit the fine distilleries in the heart of Kentucky, we will be visiting the Peerly Distillery in Downtown Louisville on Friday, September 22nd from 1:30-3pm.
Where to Stay:
We have two hotel blocks, one at the Hilton Garden Inn and the other at The Seelbach Hotel, both in downtown Louisville. There are also a number of great AirBnB‘s in the area as well–if you’re a parent and plan on bringing your little ones, it may be worth trying to reserve one within walking distance of the venue. The best areas to stay include: downtown, Butchertown, NuLu and Clifton.
Getting to Louisville
Lousiville’s airport (SDF) is great and right in the heart of the city. Having a rental car is nice to explore outside of the immediate city, but with Lyft, Uber and hotel shuttles may not be necessary if you are only in town for a couple of days and stay in or near downtown.
If you’re making the flight to Louisville from far away (say the west coast), it might be worth adding some other semi-local airports to your flight search. Broadening your search may save you an awkwardly timed layover(s) and overall trip time. The Cincinnati (CVG) airpot (actually in KY) is only 1.5hrs from Louisville. The Indianapolis (IND) airport is 1 hr and 45 minutes. Nashville’s airport (BNA) is a little bit further of a drive, 2 hours and 45 minutes. Sometimes Lexington airport (LEX) has good deals too–and is only 1 hour and 15 minutes from Louisville.
